Self Confidence
16:44:00
Self confidence is something that many people struggle with, in fact, only 4% of women actually consider themselves beautiful.
Many people also struggle with low self-esteem, because social media is portraying double standards of a social construct known as "PERFECTION". They try telling us that in order to be beautiful, we have to look like the models in VOGUE magazine.
The truth is: no one is perfect, however, that does not mean that we aren't all beautiful. Therefore, here are a few tips which will help raise your self-esteem and make you feel beautiful.
Write out a list of your goals and achievements:
Many people have goals in their life, whether it is to lose weight or jump out of a plane!
List out your accomplishments, it would be a GREAT reminder of how far you have come in your life, because everyone has achieved something in their life - daily workouts, finishing a book that you've been reading for a long time or getting accepted to your dream job!
There's always something to celebrate, even the smallest things.
Stop comparing yourself to others:
I always compared myself to other people, especially people on social media. We always think that all of those people have a perfect life. That's not true.
1. These people are just like you! No one lives their life in perfect lighting and angles that make their cheekbones stand out.
2. It is all filtered out, their spots, their under eye bags. Many people have them and if you don't, you are probably a rich goddess or just lucky, or maybe you just take care of your skin.

Either way, these people only show you the GOOD things in their life and filter out all of the BAD things, because at the end of the day, even the people who you compare yourself to want to be perfect.
Therefore, take time to think about all of your qualities, skills and talents, because we all have them.
If you feel like you have some areas in your life that you'd like to change or improve, do so, but only for yourself, someone you love or someone that will always try to have your back and build up your self-esteem, not for someone that you know will only make it worse.
Always smile:
The smallest of smiles can disarm many in social situations and make everyone feel more comfortable around you. When you see someone smile, you just automatically feel happier.
Make eye contact:
Don't be afraid to meet the gaze of someone else; it shows not only that you are a person worthy of communication with, but it portrays the fact that you respect them, that you're interested and listening and that you are confident about what you are saying.
Inhale the positive, Exhale the negative:
Don't fall into the trap of endless negative self-talk and beating yourself up. It won't get you anywhere.
Remember always to think in a positive manner towards yourself, even if you know that something bad is going to happen.
Give your self a small compliment everyday, about something that you like or dislike in your body. It will make you feel more confident and build up your self-esteem.
Everyone struggles:
Be aware of that. Everyone struggles with certain things and some people are just good at hiding it, remember that you're not alone and that all of us have some weaknesses. Remember to surround yourself with people that will make you feel good about who you are and will support you whenever you need them.
Don't ever surround yourself with people that've let you down many times, because they will do it again. Never forget that you can't compare your problems to other peoples. A problem is a problem and there is no hierarchy to it, so please do not think that just because you're not starving and homeless, you can't be sad and can't talk to someone about it.
Accept yourself and love yourself.
